Img29.jpg The Encore Automatic Banjo was first introduced in 1897. The original production of the Encore ceased by 1906. After 100 years, this extraordinary instrument lives on, being made on an individual basis by the D.C. Ramey Piano Company since 1978.  Dave Ramey and son, David, Jr., have built over 40 of these instruments.
